My first ever Hijama! well for those of you who are cluless of what it is, Hijama is a therapy that comes from the Arabic root "sucking; vacuum". In other alternative medicines Hijama is also known as cupping or bloodletting, but the difference between these and Hijama is that with Hijama only the surface of the skin is scratched and then glass cups are placed on the specific spot and a vacuum is made to gently draw the blood out.
This therapy works with the body’s condition and balances it. The body may be suffering from sluggish organs, or be in need of detoxification, and either way Hijama is an effective treatment. Hijama therapy is even known to have helped women ovulate and thus, fall pregnant. As Hijama therapy directly removes a small amount of blood from the patient it also detoxifies the blood, stimulates the body’s immune system and helps blood to flow more freely. It is known to relieve pain including migraine and back ache and is also the best preventive treatment available
According to the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) there are certain places on the body that should have this treatment even if the individual is well, as a preventive medicine. There are also recommended times to perform Hijama and other times when Hijama should not be performed unless there is necessity.
Hijama should be done at the back of the neck, and between the two shoulder blades as is shows on my back as this connects the brain to the rest of the body and it brings oxygen into the brain and helps the body to repair itself. This is also the place where toxins accumulate. Moreover, it strengthens the lymphatic system.
please for those of you who are so ignorant to islam please do look it up because i got many reviews that it's just a "cult" performance. but please do not try and do it yourself. ask for professional people or if you are interested i can recommend clinics or people that can come to your house. just drop me a line on my email asking about Hijama.

Getting ready for the summer
although I'm not a big fan of Louis Vuitton still i found myself deeply fond of new Taïga leather collection. the details, colour and style is timeless and can be worn anytime of the year. I know I'll be saving a bit for a while to get ready for the summer! for some reason I can't live without gray! the back pack is quit spacious and great for the beach, gym or any casual outting. i can already picture myself on a bike cycling toward the white cliffs with maxi and lucy! such sweet memories :)

Well monochrome has popped up again, it never really goes away though to be fair. When done with such conviction as this it just looks rather superb, wouldn't you agree darling??? I was feeling rather blissfully gray today and wanted to post one of my current favourite photographers, Jacob Sutton.
I'd like to take a peek into Sutton's note pads and what-no, something tells me suggests they might be a bit bonkers, in a good way though. Some of the set which feature in his shoots are designs by none other than Gary Card, who I'm pretty obsessed with.

My heart hasn't recovered yet from the physical departure of this angel, called Leandro. He lives and will live forever within my heart. I will live my life in full because that's what he taught me. He took a wrong decision in a moment of weakness because of his lymphatic cancer and because someone who he loved deeply - without the willingness to do any harm – let go of his hand without understanding what he was going through.
Mysteries of life… mysteries of the mind that we won't be able to understand… To all appearances he had it all… and on that bloody instant he felt he had nothing to live for… The most arduous thing in life is to be able to satisfy the weaknesses of the mind… I believe the answer lies in one word… so short, so complex, so encompassing and so mysterious: LOVE.
I'd appreciate if you could translate this message and mail it to all of Leandro's friends, as well as to post it on Facebook. Through this message I want to render thanks for so many demonstrations of affection towards Leandro. Those of us who stayed behind will sometimes break into tears, but we need to be strong, carry on with our life, trying to be a better person each day. For each episode in life, there is always something to be learned.
I will communicate again, but now I can only be thankful to all of you.
